It also improves disease resistance and contains time-released nitrogen for extended feeding. Apply Vigoro Rose Food to new, potted and bareroot, or established roses. Use at planting when applying to new, potted, and bareroot roses. Mix evenly with the soil used to refill the planting hole. Use from early spring through summer and early fall when applying to established roses. Apply every 2 months in sandy soils and areas with heavy summer rainfall or irrigation, or every 3 months in heavy soils or where roses are watered only once or twice a week.
